A few years ago Australian serial Lessi was shown on TV. This film was about sable collie. And after that I had just solved to breed only collie and not another dog. Because collies are very clever, very beautiful, very kindly and very gentle dogs.
I grew up. And in 1988 I had got present to my birthday, it was
a tri-color little puppy look like a black rough ball with a nice white neck.
My dream had been realized. There was love from the first glance.
I called him Ray. Ten months ago he had grown into a great black dog.
I used to take part in dog shows often. I meant him as a champion when
he took 5th 7th place in show, because two, three dozens dogs were in rings
in each class. Of course, he was not a dog of the modern English type.
He was 26 inches tall, and he didnt have a lot of coat. I could describe
his type as a soviet DOSAFs collie of Germany and Finnish lines.
But for me he was the best pet and the best friend.
In 1996 Ray was gone. I had bought already a new blue merle dog Present
Stock Snow King (Baks). He was born in 1994. His sire was Fernlark Sky
Walker at Linear (Luke) and his dam was Present Stock Snow Abrakadabra
(Basja). Baks was a very nice puppy and he became so clever and too dutiful
dog. He understood not only orders, but even meanings of different words
without some special training. Might to say him come to me or come here
or go anywhere and tell him this place, he rushed right there. He did it
exactly and without mistakes. He liked to fight with other dogs and hated
strange people. He guarded bravely though he wasnt very large and very strong.
He carried out his duty very hard. The fence of around garden was broken, the gates and wicket werent locked, and he was alone overnight. Baks was a real soldier. Now, many years ago, when I have seen a lot of pets, I able to say no were dogs look like Baks, and I thing perhaps wont be. It is so sorrow, but he had not a long life. He was only five years old when he was gone. Stomach ulcer was the cause of his sudden death. During his life there were a lot of occasions when he had to use his secure qualities. It happened home and during travels to Crimea (we took him up every time). Well, if to write all about that it could be whole book.
In 1997 I bought a sable bitch Solarland Moskva (Margo). She was so rough
girl, her eyes were too narrow, and she was very beautiful. Baks taught her, but
he never made hurt her. And then, when we lost Baks, she took the main
place among my pets and feels herself such as a boss. And the dogs
Hawkswood James Bond (Lis) and Julio Faberge (Pooh), whom I had bought
latter, have been respecting her.
Now I have got two dogs Hawkswood James Bond and Julio Faberge are Russian Champions, and two bitches Snow Tale from Maximkovo and Hawkswood Paprika.
Margo was dead 2007 February 07. She was nine with half years old. Margo was beautiful and great dog. She bore not very much puppies during her life, but she gave very quality breed. For example one of her daughter is Russian Champion Beautiful Legacy.
